Shipping policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026

Every original painting is carefully packed by me and shipped from my studio in the Birmingham, Alabama area to your home. Prints are made to order and shipped directly from my print partner. Here's what to expect.

Where I ship

I currently ship to all 50 U.S. states.

International shipping: I don't ship outside the United States at this time. If you live outside the U.S., email me at kindra@kindraknightparkerstudio.com and I'll see what's possible. If I agree to ship internationally, you're responsible for any customs fees, import taxes, or duties charged by your country.

Processing times

"Processing" is the time it takes to prepare and pack your order before it ships.

  • Original paintings: 3–7 business days
  • Prints: Prints are made to order by my print partner, LumaPrints, and shipped directly from LumaPrints. Printing usually takes 3–5 business days before your print ships.
  • Mixed orders: If you order an original and a print together, they will arrive in separate packages, on different days, with separate tracking.
  • Commissions: Ship after the final payment is received. See my Commission Terms.
  • Digital downloads: Available right away after payment. Nothing ships.

Carriers and delivery times

Originals: I ship UPS for standard-size works; oversized works ship by UPS, freight, or a fine-art shipper, with shipping quoted per order.

Prints: LumaPrints chooses the carrier for prints.

Delivery time depends on the shipping service and where you live. Delivery estimates come from the carrier and are not guaranteed.

Once your order ships, you'll get an email with tracking information.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs are shown at checkout before you pay. For oversized works, shipping is quoted per order. I'll send you the shipping quote and get your OK before your painting ships.

Insurance

Every original ships insured for its full purchase price, through Shopify Shipping insurance or, for higher-value or oversized works, the shipper's full-value coverage or a separate policy.

Prints are shipped by LumaPrints. If a print arrives damaged, I'll arrange a free replacement. See my Refund & Return Policy.

Signature on delivery

All original paintings, and any other order over $250, require a signature on delivery. This keeps your art safe. Please make sure someone can be home, or follow the carrier's instructions to pick it up.

Oversized works: shipping rolled

Some oversized paintings may ship rolled. This means the canvas is carefully taken off its wooden stretcher bars and rolled in a sturdy tube. It can lower shipping costs a lot.

  • I'll only ship a painting rolled with your agreement. I'll ask first and get your OK in writing (email is fine).
  • If your painting ships rolled, you're responsible for re-stretching and framing it, and for those costs. I recommend a professional framer.
  • Damage caused during re-stretching or framing isn't covered by my damage policy.

Packaging

I pack originals with care, using protective materials to guard the surface and corners. Before each original ships, I take photos to record its condition. Please open your package carefully. Don't use a sharp blade close to the artwork.

Damage in shipping

Please open and inspect your package soon after it arrives. If anything is damaged, contact me within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the art and the packaging. Damage claims go through the shipping insurance. Please keep the box and all packing materials. Full steps are in my Refund & Return Policy.

Lost, delayed, or stolen packages

  • If tracking hasn't updated in 7 days, please email me. I'll contact the carrier.
  • If a package is marked "delivered" but you can't find it, check with neighbors and your building's mail area, then contact me within 3 days. I'll file a claim with the carrier.
  • Once a package is handed to the carrier, delays are out of my control. I'll still help you every step of the way.

Address accuracy

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. I'm not responsible for orders sent to an address entered incorrectly. If a package is returned to me because of a wrong address, I'll reship it once you pay the new shipping cost.

Local pickup or delivery

Local pickup or hand delivery in the Birmingham, Alabama area is available for originals, by arrangement. Email me at kindra@kindraknightparkerstudio.com to set up a time. You'll be asked to check the painting and sign for it at pickup or delivery.
